Probably some of THE BEST ice cream I’ve had in a very long time! They had a small selection but the ice cream they did have was SOOOOO VERYY GOOD. I had the Corn Bread and Ube and they both were phenomenal. The black waffle cones are some of the best I’ve ever had as well! Make sure to check them out if you’re in the area!! Worth every penny

Went in at the beginning of their opening hours and absolutely enjoyed their service! We ordered an Ice Cream flight which comes in either 6 or 13 flavors and was guided by their amazing staff. We ended up ordering the Ferrero Rocher, Eclair Cake, Ube, Honey Cornbread, Black Vanilla, and Lavender! The Ferrero was nice and hazelnutty with mix-ins, the Black Vanilla was a bit gritty (maybe using charcoal for coloring) and had a bit of a coconut like aftertaste. We also loved the honey cornbread which was sweet and warm, and the eclair cake, both of which had mix-ins as well! The Ube was a bit too sweet for our taste and the lavender was a great complimentary flavor. All around satisfied with our experience and the ice cream! You can also sample the ice cream if you’d like.

Not bad but it taste still good tho. We stopped by this ice cream shop with the kids, and it was a great experience from start to finish. The prices were surprisingly reasonable too. We got ice cream for everyone for around $15, which is hard to beat these days. The biggest surprise was the cornbread with honey flavor. It was absolutely amazing and unlike anything I've ever tried. If you see it on the menu, do yourself a favor and give it a shot. Big shoutout to Alex H. for making our visit even better. He was incredibly patient while we sampled several different flavors before making up our minds. He never rushed us and had a great attitude the whole time, which made the experience fun for the kids. Great ice cream, fair prices, and outstanding customer service. We'll definitely be coming back!

Black + White Modern Creamery is a fantastic local ice cream spot that’s well worth a visit. Their flavor selection is creative and constantly rotating, which makes every trip feel like a new experience. You can tell the ingredients are high quality—every flavor tastes fresh and authentic, while being thoughtfully crafted. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, and they’re happy to let you sample flavors until you find the perfect one. If you’re deciding between a local shop and a chain ice cream store, I’d highly recommend stopping here first. It’s the kind of place that keeps you coming back to see what new flavors they’ve created.

I wish I could give it 10 stars! Oh man! Black+White Modern Creamery is easily one of the best ice cream spots I’ve ever tried, and definitely the best I’ve had in San Antonio! I got taro, lavender, and chocolate Oreo, and they were all so delicious and creamy. The portions were generous, and the price felt very fair for what you get. (They have a flight!!!) I also love the local, small, family-owned business vibe. The owners were very friendly, which made the experience even better. My only wish is that they stayed open later on Sundays. Right now, they close at 3 PM, and I would love to be able to stop by for ice cream on my way back to Austin in the late afternoon. I can’t wait to go back and try more flavors and next time I will bring a big cooler to bring more back home!
